Chamber of Sovereign Mastery #12 BODY

In previous articles we looked at more existential matters of Spirit and Soul. However, as we turn to address the Body, if you’ve had the chance to read these articles we’ll be bearing much of what we covered there in mind as we explore this imperative subject.

Holistic is a word that I understand to mean; Spirit, Soul and Body are harmoniously working together in a symbiotic, integrated relationship. And I believe that this is achieved by understanding and honouring the individual agenda’s of each of these parts of ourselves. And in as much as that is so, living holistically is getting these different parts of ourselves to talk to each other.

As we covered in the article on Spirit in the opening paragraph we saw that as well as being ‘physical beings having spiritual experiences’ we are also, ‘Spirits having physical experiences’. Therefore, with this in mind as we incorporate our spiritual disciplines in practical ways they will enhance our physical life and this invariably creates a holistic environment in which our Souls can flourish.

Your Soul being the aspect of Source which has individuated themselves in your lived experience is here in you to live out the fullest most authentic realisation of who you are. This high calling is not the work

Your Soul being the aspect of Source which has individuated Themselves in your lived experience is here in you to live out the fullest most authentic realisation of who you are. This high calling is not the work of an afternoon, but a lifetime process, which we can more or less allow to unfold the more aware we become of the Souls reality and Her presence within our lives such that we allow Her to express Herself more and more in our character and personality.

This is what the Idea of a Manâ„¢ is all about, discovering and embracing the deep truth of who you are from within, the core of your being when all else is stripped away, so that you get to live an authentic and fulfilled life, and also so that those who get to interact with you can experience the genuine expression of an integrated man who – knows himself – and is not defined exclusively by external parameters; job title, marital status, appellation, height, weight, IQ, qualifications, etc, but by the daily expressions of an intentional life of honoring that deeper truth.

With that being said our Bodies come into all this in that as we travel through this third dimension, while it behooves us to pay attention to the 4th Dimensional aspects of our experience which we have just been discussing, our 3D experience is characterised predominantly by the fact we exist in a Physical Body. Therefore, the relationship we have with this imperative part of ourselves has a lot to do with the experience our Soul gets to have during Her sojourn here on earth. For example if your body is perpetually wracked by pain, exhaustion and dis-ease while this could be the result of not living in alignment with our Soul’s agenda, it will also mean that our Soul’s experience on earth is suboptimal.

Therefore, again let’s begin by asking and answering the question; ‘What is your Idea of a Man™?’ This time the focus is on the context of the Body.

Archetypally of the four main masculine Archetypes (King, Warrior, Magician and Lover), we are dealing here with the area of the Warrior. The descriptive term for The Warrior is –The Action Taker. Therefore, it reflects our – Will, the part of ourselves which once we have set our intention is able to take affirmative action to implement our ‘Will’ within our lives. Therefore, maintaining The Vehicle of the Body as an optimal tool to achieve our objectives is very much in our best interests. But a vision for what that maintenance looks like for us again adds the layer to our intentionality which as a life hack is important, because ascertaining your Idea of a Manâ„¢ in the various Chambers of our lives lets us set a point ‘B’ of our desired destination on the road maps for our lives. As I’ve said before, when you aim for nothing you’ll hit it every time.

So point ‘B’ as a vision of your desired destination established, point ‘A’ also must be addressed. ‘Where are you now?’ It’s great to have a vision, but to realistically realise that vision, we have to be brutally honest about where we are starting from in our quest to get to where we are going, particularly when it comes to our health and setting health objectives. Building new habits and developing the health and fitness we wish to accomplish can be work. So let it be work which is fueled by a bigger picture that we can uphold before ourselves, and again, let’s revisit our values to insure that they are really our own, not values which society has sought to imprint upon us as what a man should look like, dress like and be able to do, but what it is that you are out here trying to accomplish.

It’s so imperative this aspect of the Body Chamber, because comparison is an easy trap to fall into, but if when you really evaluate it, your the guy who is here to climb mount everest, your fitness regime may look markedly different to the man whose aims and objectives from his Idea of a Man is an adonis type chap with muscles on his muscles. Or another man who wishes to express what they experience when they hear music with their physical bodies via dance, or a man who wishes to have the physical fitness required for DIY or constructing things in the physical dimension.

I have four disciplines under the umbrella of The Warrior, which relate to the maintenance and upkeep of my body. Those individual umbrellas are Diet, Exercise, Sleep and Self-Care. I’m on a journey to get to my point ‘B’ and by aligning myself via these disciplines I trust I have a realistic chance to achieve my objectives. Also my Soul expresses herself through my attention to self-care and the cultivation of my Body. This is how we look after ourselves as men holistically and how we integrate all the parts of ourselves to build our lives so that they reflect our Idea of a Man™ and we realise who we really are.

The latest body type on trend at the moment needs to be the furthest thing from our minds unless that is literally what it is we’re seeking to achieve. The Idea of a Manâ„¢ is always going deeper. It is not that outward appearance doesn’t come into play here, but while most definitely not the only factor, how we feel about how we look plays an important part in this part of ourselves. Again this knowledge of self is part of our self discovery. Some of us are very aesthetic in our values. This is how we look at life, we simply have style, and to ignore this or subscribe to the idea that this is somehow superficial or vain may miss the fact that as creators part of our creativity may need to be expressed daily in the way we adorn our bodies and the way we shape our bodies through diet and exercise. For another man, however, this is the farthest thing from his mind, neither perspective is better or worse, it’s not that kind of value evaluation. It’s about being clear on what has value to you. It’s about having the honesty to stand in your own truth and let it be reflected in the way you look after your body.
